At RJDM, we believe that creating meaningful digital experiences and operating responsibly go hand in hand. As a creative technology studio, the way we work has a real impact on the world around us, and we take that seriously.

This policy sets out the practical steps we take to reduce our environmental footprint, work sustainably and support positive change for our team, our clients and the communities we serve.

Remote-First Operations

We are a remote-first studio. By bringing together a senior team that works from home and from local creative spaces, we avoid the daily commute and the energy demands of a large central office.

This approach reduces travel emissions, lowers our energy consumption and gives our people a healthier balance, while still allowing us to collaborate closely with clients wherever they are based.

Digital Delivery

The vast majority of our work is created, shared and delivered digitally. From animation and film to applications and platforms, our output rarely needs to be printed, shipped or physically produced.

When physical deliverables are genuinely required, we plan carefully to minimise waste and choose responsible production partners wherever possible.

Responsible Technology

We choose tools, hosting and infrastructure with sustainability in mind. Where we can, we work with cloud providers and partners that invest in renewable energy and efficient data centres.

We build software and digital products to be efficient and well maintained, so they perform well, last longer and use fewer resources over their lifetime.

Sustainable Procurement

When we buy equipment, software or services, we consider more than just price. We look at durability, energy efficiency and the values of the suppliers we work with.

We aim to extend the life of our hardware, repair and reuse where practical, and dispose of redundant equipment responsibly through proper recycling channels.

Supporting Positive Change

We are proud to support organisations across healthcare, education, the public sector and beyond, many of whom are working to improve lives and create a fairer, healthier society.

We see our creative and technical work as a way to help these organisations communicate clearly, reach more people and deliver on their own commitments to sustainability and social value.

Continuous Improvement

Sustainability is a journey, not a fixed destination. We keep reviewing how we work, listening to our team and clients, and looking for sensible, practical ways to do better.
